30 Seeds Of Revival – Day 3

30 Seeds Of Revival – Day 3

Granddaddy always uses an expression always uses an expression “Where the rubber meets the road!” When I was a child I didn’t much get it but now decades later it is crystal clear.  Granddaddy was on to something. He was talking about a place some refer to as “the sweet spot” or the” place where the magic happens.” However you may want to look at it certain conditions are required for certain results to take place. No conditions then no end result.

Surely, this is exactly how it must be understood when it comes to REVIVAL. After all, our heavenly father wants to see our lives REVIVED more than we do. You do understand that don’t you?  Do you also understand that until we meet his pre-determined conditions we are in the danger of holding back his hand. It’s true, for so many of us maybe even the majority of us are standing dead smack in the way of our own REVIVAL that God intends for us to experience in the most life transforming of ways.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Friend, listen carefully. Fashions, philosophies, politics, styles, religions and all kinds of things have changed over the eons but the will of God concerning his children has not. He’s looking for an obedient child even today who will hear and hearken his voice and live a lifestyle of REPENTANCE. Why? Because “True Repentance Is the Pathway To True Revival.” It always was and ever more shall be as long as their remains to be any stain of sin found in the heart soil of our broken humanity.

The Keys of Fruitful Living

The Keys of Fruitful Living

Galatians 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Summer is here and I have such a taste for fruit that I can’t help but notice the many succulent fruit trays everywhere I go. I don’t know about you but ‘I love me’ some fresh fruit; especially the tropical stuff! It is delicious!!! Some time ago, I shared a message with my Joshua House of Worship family talking about the gift of “spiritual fruit” that God so wants to see manifested in our lives [Galatians 5:22-26.] Who wouldn’t want the love, joy  and peace cocktail mixed in with all of the other scrumptious, spiritual fruit that God has for his children to feast on?I brought out the point however, this spiritual fruit is not automatic! No, we should not take this organic fruit bowl for granted. It can only be  ours so long as we are humble, teachable and obedient unto the Lord. Furthermore,  we must learn to literally abide in him.

This is what John chapter 15 teaches us.  We get to experience and manifest what God has inside of him, so long as we abide in Christ as our vine. Yes, we are the branches drawing life and spiritual resource that flows straight from the heart of Christ who is our vine. Our bearing fruit then, is completely dependent on our submission to him. Keep in mind, it’s one thing to carry his name but something else altogether to carry his nature.  It calls for a true connection in the spirit  to carry and manifest his nature.  In other words, in order for us to live and demonstrate the life giving, powerful nature of Christ we must be connected to Christ in the first place. He is the source of that life; not we ourselves.

In fact, here’s a key to keep with you at all times; he says that without him we can to nothing. You may ask; “Is that to say that there is absolutely no thing that I can do, without God?” Well, it depends on how you define no thing! Surely you can do some things but the question would be how worth doing would that ‘something’ be? How advantageous? How eternally or spiritually beneficial would it be according to who you are and the assignment of God on your life? How fruitful? MMMMMMmmmmm.

It reminds me of some time ago; I went to my daughter’s middle school, basketball game. Some of the young girls there on the court were playing basketball for their very first time. So, many of them were still a little nervous and awkward at this point in their careers! The one thing that definitely stood out in the game was the one ‘babygirl’ who so eagerly caught the ball from the sideline and ran with all her dribbling speed she could muster  to get in range to score another point for her opposing team! It just so happened that she didn’t notice the yells of the coach or any of her teammates shouting out to her that she was aiming at the wrong basket! Two points for the opposing team!!!

That’s how many of us are as adults! Yes, as we venture out with such zest, we do manage to put a few points on the scoreboard. However, who do we score for? The only way we will get credit, our team will be edified and our coach satisfied is when we are aimed at the right goals. Write this down! Without the coaching guidance of the Holy Spirit; we can do nothing worth writing home to momma about; nothing worthy of setting an example for others to follow; nothing worthy of the Father’s warm smile on us!

Could I tell you one more? Yes,  we also have to grab one more key; for when we do, a whole new world opens to us. Too many of us have been led to believe that God is out to get us and to take our ‘joy’ away! We sometimes view God as ‘rain on our parade’ rather than the sunshine of our day. The reality however is quite the opposite. God does not want us ‘joyless’ he wants  us joyful! He wants our lives to be filled with more fruitfulness, success, power, prosperity, wholeness, service, purpose, usefulness, favor and greatness than we do!

Get this; it is in these experiences that he is most GLORIFIED! This is a master key for sure; STOP thinking that God is out to POLICE you into a dull, boring, unfulfilled, mediocre life that you barely want to get up each morning to live! If that’s what you think; that’s nobody but Satan playing tricks with your mind and you need to evict him from that apartment you’ve rented him in you thinking!

God is the loving Father who wants more for his child than his child wants for himself! Believe that! Furthermore, nothing makes him stick his chest out more than to see you excelling in the very same reason and purpose that he intended for your life. This is what makes God smile as you move from glory to glory in the life that he planned for you. Does this mean that you wont experience suffering, hardship, trials and tests of your faith? Of course not, but because you know that they are just TESTS then you ought to wake up each morning knowing that God is not against you; he is for you! Even when it comes to things that he wants to prune and purge from your life; he does so out of his love for you; not hate. Surely, he doesn’t ever take anything away from us without replacing it with either something better or himself! He’s always moving in ways to make his children better not bitter. So, with this truth in mind, let his Spirit lead you in brand new ways. You just got a key to a brand new world. Now, eat your fruit!

The Key of Transparency

The Key of Transparency

John 13

1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
2And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, 3Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

12So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

In John, 13, we need to grab the key of TRANSPARENCY.  Go ahead, examine the text once again; it’s there! In this occasion, Jesus the master teacher gave us something just as applicable today as it was for his first disciples. Yes, it’s true, legitimate, master teachers practice transparency with their inner disciples.

Yet, this runs so contrary and counter to what we see in our culture’s version of the Christian faith today! In my view, unfortunately, the majority of those who may consider themselves as master teachers, seem anything but transparent!

C’mon now. Let’s be honest! There are more games being played in churches today than in kindergarten! Yes, I agree.  There is far too much makeup! No, not cosmetically but spiritually! We cover up more blemishes, scars and wounds in ministry than Maybelline, Avon or Mary Kay ever could!

So, let’s waste no time today beating around the bush today! We need to help someone who’s been locked out of the truth and therefore can’t get free.

Child of God you need to know this: the anointed and appointed person that you are serving under from the Pope down to the newest Bishop in the district is a fallible, flesh and blood human being with strengths and weaknesses;  intelligence and ignorance; faith and fears. Furthermore; they too have some major and I do mean MAJOR issues that they have either come out of or still working on….and sometimes both!!!!

The problem is, far too many of us in ministry have been told to go the traditional way that says “Stand up straight, square your shoulders, put a smile on your face and never let them see you crying!” Rest assured, this psychological strategy may work for a few battles but what do you do when your losses, scars and wounds tend to continue accumulating? What do you do when the weeks turn to months and the months turn to years and then season after season you’ve never shed one single tear about any of your losses or any of the severe wounds that you have received while engaged in spiritual battle and you’ve never taken the time to grieve any of your pain?

How do you process all of the fake friends who come your way? How to you process the goo-gobs of people who smile at you in your face; waiting for the right moment to stab you in the back? How do you rightly interpret the countless acts of passive aggressiveness or dead silence from folk you thought would be there for you but who only gave you the sound of crickets when you needed them? What do you do with the wounds created by the persons you went out of your way to heal? How do you mourn the loss of people you loved on but walked away and never even said farewell?

C’mon now! It is what it is …. there are casualties in ministries and fatalities too! This thing is not for the faint at heart. It is neither for those with low self esteem or for those who think to highly of themselves! No, ministry is for those who can be real with God; real with themselves and therefore real with others.

Find one general or commanding officer worth anything at all that has ever gone to war and suffered tragic losses and not shed rivers of tears! I double dog dare you to try! Why are we as spiritual leaders so willing to become such deceivers? Why won’t we just be REAL? That’s why our Lord commended the little children the way he did; because the one thing they are if they are anything is REAL!

Here’s what I’m trying to say: Every leader needs to be able to practice transparency with some degree of an inner circle. There’s someone connected to you that will only be able to go to their next level when you are strong enough and authentic enough to disrobe in front of them and serve them with your nakedness. We lead and serve our leaders best when we are transparent; hiding no wound and no thing.

In other words, there is a God called, group of leaders we are assigned to pour our lives into, in order to empower them without any shame, humiliation or fear of embarrassment. God is challenging you not to be afraid to allow them to see who you  have been, are and will be. They need that for their own development; it will not be sufficient to show them your strengths only; they must see your scars too.

Oh, what courage it takes to wield this master key we call TRANSPARENCY. Yes, I’m so glad that Jesus demonstrated it with his disciples. The question is: will you do it for yours?  Not all! But the right ones. [right-eous ones] You’ll know who they are!

So, contrary to the tradition that you may have been holding to, may I challenge you this season to reposition yourself with those you are over; to go under them and see that the only way that you will ever truly launch them into their greater is when you get courageous enough to be your true self in their presence.

True leadership needs no makeup, make believe or any other form of manipulation because you’ll never lose what was really yours and it’s no benefit to gain what already isn’t. Are you looking for followers or are you creating leaders? If so, go get your key & set some folk free while you’re at it.  This KEY is  called transparency.

Keys To Prosperity For God’s People

Keys To Prosperity For God’s People

Psalm 1 [NKJV]

1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

4The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

I’ve told you before; if you have the right key, you can get access into anything. Certainly there are keys to be utilized by the children of God as it pertains to his kingdom. To leave home without your keys is to lock yourself out from kingdom blessings that rightfully accompany your citizenship in a holy nation and your kinship in the family of God.  You’ve heard it said that “All of God’s children got shoes” but my point is to remind you that all of God’s children got keys!

One such key we have is the key to prosperity. I thank God for it. In my opinion, we ought to desire being as abundantly prosperous as God would have us to be in connection to our assignment. No, there is no cookie cutter formula for measuring real prosperity. How real prosperity looks in the life of one child of God may not be the same way it will appear in the life of another. What might be considered prosperous for one person might be considered as poverty for another. It all depends on a number of factors; yet this much we ought not be confused about: true prosperity extends far beyond ‘the bling bling’ of material possessions. In fact, “The Benjamins” as highly as they might be rated really don’t weigh that heavily in the life of a person in need of health, peace, joy or even  a real friend or companion. There are so many things that money can do to make life more convenient and comfortable but there will always be certain things that money can’t buy. As kingdom kids, we should never get that twisted; less we mistake the wrong keys of prosperity.

Personally, because of the whole context of scripture, I’m persuaded that true prosperity encompasses a balanced perspective and appreciation for both material resources and the invisible, soul riches that are able to cause long, deep and lasting satisfaction. Nevertheless, we’ll need to have and access the right keys to get to this great wealth that God is more than pleased to give to his children.

Yet, there is one master key to true prosperity that we don’t hear about as often as we used to. Nowadays there is a lot of talk about gimmicks and short cuts; but is there anybody who know that there is still an old land mark; a master key that is sure to unlock the door to all of the prosperity you could use in your life? This key is called the key of “obedience!” Yes, it’s quite simple; cant nobody do you like Jesus!

In other words; there might still be a small remnant of people who know God well enough to know that when God blesses you it is done! It is finished! It is complete! In fact, when God blesses you; there is no fear of losing the blessing or having it stolen by anyone else because what God has for you is for you and no devil in Hell can take it away.

With this thought in mind, we do well this week to focus on one thing and one thing only; obeying God! So, you there; keep it simple; just do what HE says. That means get into his word and into your prayer closet and don’t come out until he has spoken to YOU. Then, when you come out; come out with the unstoppable determination to obey HIM. Then and only then will you have discovered a true master key into the real prosperity for God’s people. Then and only then will YOU be like “ a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever YOU do shall prosper. “

Keys To Breaking Free From The Shackles Of Scarcity, Mediocrity & Poverty

Keys To Breaking Free From The Shackles Of Scarcity, Mediocrity & Poverty

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (KJV)

12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 is a powerful passage. The truth is that it can either work for us or against us. Sadly, for many it has worked more against us than for us; especially in the area of lack. Though we serve the God of all creation; who speaks to those things that are not as though they were; who raises the dead; brings light out of darkness; streams of water out of dry places and even decrees abundance out of nothing; those who know no better, have been shackled by a threefold cord that has not been quickly broken.

The three fold cord that has held many bound up in bondage has been the cord of scarcity, mediocrity and poverty. These three are all connected and when working together, are hard to break. For some; a whole generation has been held hostage by these cords. For some; entire communities, districts, churches and families have been in bondage almost unaware.

This may sound strange coming from a preacher; but going to church has never been enough and never will be enough alone to break these cords. Our pews are filled with countless, regular attenders who leave each week the same way they came; tied up in these cords. Tragically, although Christ came to set us free most people are neither, specific, persistent or intentional enough to ever break free of the cords that they don’t see. Yet the bible reveals a secret; another key if you will, to ensure that the hearing would hear and those with eyes would see.

1 John 4:4 (KJV)

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

In other words, one of the very first levels of understanding that must be unlocked is the fact that no matter what bondage , chains or shackles ‘the god of this world’ has put on you either consciously or subconsciously; the 1st step to RECOVERY is DISCOVERY! Yes, once you truly come into the realization of the GREATER one inside of you; no devil in hell can hold you back!

Beloved you must know right now and at once that there is the same power in you that God used to create the entire universe! In the essence of this power; you lack nothing to fulfill your purpose and to accomplish God’s vision for your life. Furthermore, every vision from God is accompanied by his provision. The only thing that separates us from the victory of living out that vision is our faith, understanding of this principle and our full fledged obedience to him.

This is why it is critical in this day and time to stop making excuses. This is why if you never realized it before you must realize it now: it’s not just a cute expression; “If God be for you, who can be against you?”

It’s time to break that threefold cord for yourself, your family and everyone else who is connected to you. Stop settling for who you have been and walk into who God said you are. Stop thinking that God has enough for everyone else but some kind of way when he gets around to you, he runs out! Stop thinking that mediocre, lukewarm stuff that you have been living is good enough or even close to what God has called you to! Stop thinking that you are supposed to be a part of any famine, deficit or national recession! Stop buying all of those lies and propaganda and send them back to the pit of hell where they came from! Satan has been playing games with your mind! God has more than enough to supply all of your needs according to his riches and not only that but to do exceeding, abundantly above whatever it is that you might ask or think. In fact, no good thing will he with hold from you because, as your father, he wants to give you the very desires of your heart if you would only learn to seek after him with your whole heart and honor him the way he deserves to be honored.

Get up! Loose yourself! Stop playing! We have no time to waste; there are other prisoners who need to be set free! Many are so blind that they don’t even know that they are in bondage! The Shackles Of Scarcity, Mediocrity & Poverty have weighed heavy on them but now you have the key needed to set an entire generation free!

Child of God, God is not honored by your thinking he doesn’t have enough for you! God is not honored by your playing it safe and settling for average and mediocrity! God is not honored when you think he wants you to live an impoverished life in any form. He is the God of abundance! Rise up to your birthright in God! If he is your father then act like his child. You are ROYALTY and this is your master key for the week.
